Internationally-renowned interior designer Sandra Nunnerley has been named one of the most fashionable designers by Women’s Wear Daily. Nunnerley’s design aesthetic draws inspiration from art, architecture and global culture – as New York Magazine’s Design Editor Wendy Goodman wrote, “Sandra Nunnerley always infuses her projects with beauty and elegance, but never at the expense of comfort and livability.”
It’s an ethos echoed in the creative process of the team of architects and designers at Sandra Nunnerley, Inc., a multidisciplinary design studio based in New York City. The projects include a variety of US and international projects: a private family clubhouse in Hong Kong, several New York City residences, beach houses in the Hamptons and the Bahamas, a penthouse in the Mitte district of Berlin, ski chalets in Aspen and Telluride, and a private-island compound in New Zealand. Currently the studio is at work on a Hong Kong residence and a residential collaboration with award-winning architects Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects.
Inspired by the design projects for a variety of clients, the studio has recently collaborated with select companies on creating and designing curated products, including a line of area rugs with The Rug Company, tiles designed for Exquisite Surfaces and a line of furniture with the New York City gallery, Maison Gerard.
The work of Sandra Nunnerley Inc. has been widely published, featured in Architectural Digest, Departures, Elle Décor, The Financial Times, House & Garden (UK), Milieu, World of Interiors and many more. The firm has been named to Architectural Digest France’s list of the Top 100 Most Influential designers and House & Garden UK’s International Guide of Leading Designers. Nunnerley’s monograph, Interiors, (published by powerHouse Books) received international acclaim, with a second book in the works.
